Clinical Vignette

A young adult female presented to an obstetric clinic. She is 8 weeks gestation with her first pregnancy. A type and screen was sent to the lab as part of her routine prenatal testing.



Her sample was referred to a reference lab with a request to perform Weak RhD analysis by molecular methods. Her results indicate she is a weak D type 1.

What results would be reported and would you provide her Rh prophylaxis?
