Clinical Vignette

An young adult female presents at an obstetrics clinic at nine weeks gestation. A type and screen was sent to the lab as part of her routine prenatal testing.

Transfusion Medicine results:





Her sample referred to a reference lab with a request to perform Weak RhD analysis by molecular methods. Her results indicates she is a weak D type 4.0/4.1.
