You are covering the blood bank pager, and an OB-GYN resident pages you about a mother who recently delivered a baby and who is having postpartum hemorrhage. They have started transfusing her, but she reports pain at the infusion site and slight chills. The OB-GYN resident wants to know how their team should proceed.
